Uganda Gorilla Safaris
(4 days/3 nights)
Uganda is home to half of the world’s population of
the remaining mountain gorillas.
Extensive efforts at the conservation have led to a number
of the families being habituated to human contact.
It is indeed a great privilege to be able to visit the powerful
and gentle creatures. We will visit either Bwindi impenetrable
national park, treasure of chest of flora and fauna, richest
forest in East Africa or Mgahinga
National Park-one of Uganda’s most scenic parks with
its dramatic volcanoes.
Uganda Gorilla permits
Only 24 tourists per day are allowed to track gorillas(18
in Bwindi and 6 in Mgahinga National park.) Each tracking
party is accompanied by a guide,three trackers and 4 army
personnel.
Day1
Depart Kampala early in the morning and travel through Uganda’s
green undulating country side to a gorilla reserve.
Dinner and overnight at a luxury tented camp.
Day2
Without doubt, your first impression of the forest will be
its almost audible silence but gradually, you will become
aware that the jungle is alive. The whole ecosystem of millions
of living organisms is watching and waiting. You pick your
way through the dense forest tracks with great anticipation.
Gorillas are seen at very close range and the massive experience
of the forest and its inhabitants is a memory that will live
on.Dinner and overnight at a luxury tented camp.
Day3
After breakfast, we drive to Lake Bunyonyi Island. Canoe trip
in the afternoon and overnight on the Island.
Day4
Depart for Kampala arriving just before dark.
