The Nile at Murchison Falls (4 nights/5days)

A magnificent natural experience.

Day 1 We’ll leave after breakfast to take the journey from Kampala through Uganda’s beautiful green side of Masindi,lunch will be available at the colonially designed Masindi Hotel. After lunch we will travel to the Nile,spotting game en route.The ferry trip takes us to the north bank for arrival at the paraa lodge.Relax and overnight close to the Nile.

Day2 After breakfast,we will make amazing launch trip to the Murchison falls described by Churchill as being like Regent’s Park zoo and Kew Gardens combined.We’ll pass pods of hippos,crocs,vast number of exotic birds and butterflies (in Murchison,there over 300 varieties) and a myriad of wildlife coming to the water to drink.We may also be able to see the legendary shoebill.

The fall itself is one of Africa’s wonders, the whole of Victoria Nile bursting majestically through a six meter gap to an awesome forty meter drop.
In the afternoon we’ll experience our first scenic game drive in the park that will include viewing the Uganda kob, elephant,lion,giraffe,antelope,eagles and much more.Over night at Paraa lodge.
Day3
A pre-breakfast “sunrise game drive” starts the day after which ,we’ll return to the lodge with a hearty appetite for breakfast.Then after,we will view the falls from another angle-the top.We'll have an opportunity to experience this massive rush of water at close quarters by taking the pathway to the base of the falls-and back.
Afternoon at leisure.
Optional launch trip to lake Albert where w’ell visit the typical local fishing village of Waseko.Overnight and Dinner at the lodge.

Day4 After breakfast, we will take a uniquely Ugandan experience –primate tracking in a tropical forest. The Budongo forest(Uganda’s largest hardwood tropical forest )is home to 350 bird varieties,250 species of butterfly, Colobus and Red-tailed monkey, habituated chimpanzee. This guided forest walk is a simply amazing way of seeing the profusion of Uganda’s wildlife riches. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. .

Day 5 Return to Kampala via Masindi.
